Position Title Assistant East Coast Operations Director

Assistant East Coast Operations Director will direct contract assets in support of fleet-level and other multi-range training requirements. Coordinates with East Coast Operations Director to identify war-fighter tactical range training requirements. Provide range capability briefings and subject matter expertise to users. With East Coast Operations Director guidance, directly coordinate with warfighter in developing training scenarios, range asset scheduling, and identifying mission and post-mission products.
East Coast Operations Director in interfacing with CSFTLANT, TTGLANT, EWTGLANT, USFF, and FMFLANT in the planning and execution of fleet-level exercises. During Large Force Exercises provides technical expertise to the CSFTLANT Battle Staff and coordinates any changes to scenarios. Provides POA&M to NSWC encompassing all aspects of exercise support and directs operational assets and personnel during exercise events. Ensures communications architecture is developed and implemented during exercises. Compiles daily after action mission summary of assets and mission deviations to CSFTLANT and NSWC during exercise events.
In addition to range assets during exercises, directs operational use of East Coast wide assets to include Electromagnetic warfare systems, Information/Operations systems and Tactical Data Link.
Coordinates with ECTTR operations personnel to ensure unit level range training requirements have been met. Interfaces with NSWC at all ranges to ensure operations are meeting contract requirements. Responsible for ensuring customer service initiatives and feedback are addressed and communicated within the CTTR community and that accurate feedback is followed through with range customers. Coordinates with all ECTTR to support training operations.
Maintains Operations planning pages within SharePoint and ensures all ranges have access to information contained in the same. Operations schedules shall include individual range operations and roll up to a master schedule.
Provides support to include recommendations on equipment modifications and software changes and additions relative to training and operational test programs. Evaluates and monitors all modifications to equipment and change requests to improve operability, reliability, and maintainability.
Employees in this position frequently work more than 40 hours a week.. Position may be required to work rotating shifts covering 24 hours and 7 days a week.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but may be waived with commensurate military and CTTR operational experience desired.
Five years' experience in tactical military operations in one or more of the following areas:
Training Range Operations
Air Intercept Control
Tactical Exercise development and evaluation
Served as an operations chief or operations officer
Fleet-level and other multi-range training evolutions
Five years experience in radio communication.
Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license
Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance
Must be able to work long hours every day of the week, sometimes for weeks on end.
Squadron level/ship or higher operations/CIC experience
Graduate of a formal weapons school or analogous training
JT1010 Link 16 operations experience is desired.
