Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Estimator II to support our office located in Germantown, MD. This position is responsible for activities related to estimating all the elements of project cost including labor (manual and non-manual), materials and permanent equipment, supplies, consumables and expenses, and construction equipment rental and operating costs, contingency, escalation, program risk, etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • May perform in a cross-discipline application or may concentrate in one or more of the Estimating disciplines including Facilities Operations and Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance Services, Technical Services, etc.

  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of preliminary, definitive, change orders and check estimates using appropriate methods and techniques.

  • Utilize the appropriate company and industry historical data for costing estimates.

  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of project and discipline estimate summaries.

  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of the Basis of Estimate.

  • Participate in estimate reviews.

  • Establish and maintain cost databases and product line specific parametric analysis tools.

  • Develop proficiency in the use of the Company estimating systems and processes.

  • Conduct work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard estimating techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and and experience

  2. 8 years of experience in Estimating, Pricing Proposal, or Finance in the Federal Government marketplace.

  3. Understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles.

  4. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel complex formulas and in database applications using Access, including power pivot and power query.

  5. Understanding of and ability to apply the Estimating System Pricing Guide.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
