Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Senior Analyst to provide Technical and Engineering Support services in support of all ongoing Program Office engineering [Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E); Combat Systems; and Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES)], logistics and financial management efforts as required by Program Offices. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the design, acquisition, maintenance , and support of the World’s finest submarine force. It fosters accurate decision making via more and higher-fidelity information on the multifaceted challenges that arise through translating Washington directives into Fleet implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and application of scientific and analytical disciplines to conduct fundamental research and concept formulation.

  • Provide the engineering effort required to prepare, develop, and deliver technical data and assure that the detailed technical data documentation that is necessary to support system development reflects the latest design, configuration, integration, and installation concepts.

  • Apply engineering and scientific disciplines to perform technical analysis of, technically support development of or selection of hardware and computer software, or modification to existing hardware and software for systems, test facilities, or training facilities.

  • Ensure that systems and platforms RM&A requirements are integrated with the system design, development, and life cycle sustainment resulting in warfighting capabilities that function effectively.

  • Apply standardized, rigorous, structured methodology to create and validate physical, mathematical, or otherwise logical representations of systems, entities, phenomena, or processes.

  • Establish and maintain long-term engineering, operation, and maintenance support for in-service warfighting capabilities as well as the capability to modernize or introduce transformational technologies into those capabilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field desired.

  • 10+ years’ experience with DOD acquisition / In-Service Programs.

  • 10+ years’ experience with Navy Programs.

  • Thorough knowledge of weapon system design, development, integration, and test practices. Knowledge of systems engineering, open architecture, software and hardware spiral development, and technology insertion processes.

  • Knowledge of operational requirements development process, and specification traceability. Knowledge of DoN T&E practices.

  • Active SECRET security clearance required.
